Lagos-based legal practitioner and Senior Partner at Tope Adebayo LP, Tope Adebayo, has congratulated the Executive Governor of Ekiti State, His Excellency, Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, on his re-election and ahead of his inauguration for a second term on October 16, 2026.
Adebayo described the Governor’s re-election, following his victory in the June 2026 governorship election with 319,224 votes across all 16 local government areas, as a significant moment in the political history of Ekiti State.
He said the renewed mandate presented an opportunity to consolidate the gains of the first term, address outstanding challenges and accelerate the pursuit of inclusive and sustainable development.
“I congratulate Governor Oyebanji and the good people of Ekiti State on this important milestone. A second term brings both the opportunity to build on existing achievements and the responsibility to respond even more effectively to the aspirations of the people.
“I wish His Excellency a successful second term and pray that his administration will continue to promote peace, prosperity, opportunity and improved quality of life for the people of Ekiti State,” Adebayo said.
Adebayo acknowledged the administration’s initiatives across infrastructure, agriculture, education, healthcare and the welfare of workers and pensioners.
He particularly noted the development of the Ekiti Agro-Allied International Cargo Airport, alongside efforts directed at skills acquisition, agricultural participation and strengthening public services.
He observed, however, that the ultimate measure of development lies not only in projects delivered, but also in their sustained impact on people’s lives, the opportunities available to young people, the growth of businesses and the economic well-being of households across the state.
According to him, the second term offers an opportunity to deepen the connection between public investment and tangible improvements in the daily lives of Ekiti residents.
“The enduring success of governance is reflected in the lives it improves, the opportunities it creates and the institutions it strengthens for future generations. I look forward to seeing Ekiti continue to advance in these areas,” he added.
Adebayo wished the Governor wisdom, strength and success as he begins his second term, expressing hope that the coming years would contribute meaningfully to the progress and prosperity of Ekiti State.
