The former Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mohammed Abubakar-Adamu has assured the people of Karu LGA that he has the capacity to defeat Governor Abdullahi Sule’s preferred successor, Senator Aliyu Ahmed-Wadada, if free and fair primaries is conducted.

At a megal really organized by his large supporters in Karu local government area of the state to trump support for his governor ambition, the director of operations and command in the Ex-IGP governorship campaign organization, Adams Useni explained that the Ex-IGP has been accepted by the entire people of Nasarawa State.

A front line governorship aspirant in Nasarawa State under the APC, he stated that, all he is appealing for is for the National Secretariat of the party to conduct free and fair primaries in the State.

According to him, there is going to be a primary election and the Ex-IGP Adamu will emerged victorious because the entire people of the state have accepted him.

His words, “We are here today in Karu, the people of Karu has shown love, they have shown concern, they shown that they are for IGP, we are here to support them, show solidarity and we are asking for a free, fair democracy, we are asking for people’s participation.”

He, however, maintained that, “The former-IGP Adamu has his background in the security sector of the country having work to the level of an inspector general of police, we believe that he will help tackle the insecurity when he is finally elected Governor of the State.”

Also speaking, the Director of Contact and Mobilization in the Campaign, Isa Nathaniel narrated that the campaign organization has received more than 3000 different groups seeking to organize this rally to show support to the Ex-IGP

“They are here to show that the Retired IGP is the man to beat, he is an unbeatable choice and with him as Governor of the State, he will work with Mr President to have a safer
Nasarawa State,” he concluded.

He explained that the declaration of Senator Aliyu-Wadada by governor Sule is his personal opinion and do not bind on other card carrying members of the APC and come the Primary election, they will come out in large numbers to stand behind the Ex-IGP Adamu.
