…Accuses Him of Planning Attacks on Voters

The Accord Party in Osun State has accused Senator representing Osun East in the National Assembly, Francis Fadahunsi, of planning attacks on voters in Ilesa after “confirming his party’s imminent defeat”.

The Accord Party in a statement signed by the Chairman in Osun State, Pastor Victor Akande lauded Ilesa voters for trooping out en masse despite the weeks of killings and shootings of innocent Ijesa people, challenging Senator Fadahunsi for leaving his Ilase voting area to mount surveillance on Ilesa in preparation for likely attacks.

The post accuses the APC’s Fadahunsi of driving around Ilesa on election day to monitor and potentially disrupt voting, citing high voter turnout as evidence of his party’s likely defeat.

It references ongoing tensions from Fadahunsi’s recent “kill Accord” remarks, which he clarified to mean defeating the party at the ballot box, amid prior police questioning and complaints of incitement during the lead-up to the August 15, 2026 Osun governorship poll.

Posted by Governor Ademola Adeleke’s digital media aide on election day in Ilesa, a key area, the statement calls on security agencies and the Owa Obokun Palace to prevent violence while highlighting Accord’s strong local support against APC.

“Fadahunsi was spotted driving round Ilesa roundabout and Ajimoko with signs that the senator was disappointed first at the massive turnout and second at the apparent defeat of the APC in the hands of Ijesha people,” the statement read.

The Accord Party accused Fadahunsi of vowing to deal with Ilesa people during his illegal tour of the Ilesa Central area, calling on security agencies and the Owa Obokun Palace to nip the planned attacks in the bud.

It hinted that long queues of voters were spotted in several voting units around Ilesa, warning that nothing should be done to disenfranchise Ilesa people.

“The senator should stay in his Ilase voting area and stop his evil plot against Ilesa people. Ilesa people have spoken and they have rejected tabon tabon party called APC and genocide agenda, Senator Fadahunsi,” Akande said.
