Bluena soars on Choose You

Fast-rising Afro swing/Afro-pop artist, Shalom Amadi, better known as Bluena, is one multitalented superstar in the making as her ability to switch sound from different genre ranging from Afrobeat to Soul, Reggae and RnB differs her brand from others.

The Pride Rock Entertainment new signee has stepped out with her debut single dubbed, Choose You.

Produced by ilblackibeat and written by Bluena and comedian, Justice Nuagbe, popularly known as Ushbebe, the record is Bluena’s memoir on love, harmony, and trust. “When you have someone you really cherish and value, irrespective of the challenges, you will simply want to hold on to that special person,” she told Weekend Beats.

Inspired by the relatable things that go on in our daily life, the Port Harcourt entertainer disclosed that her love for music started at age 10 when she began to learn breath control and through her tutelage, was able to start writing her own personal songs.

She said, “With my interest in music, I started listening to songs by Rihanna and Adele. At some point, I got depressed and I decided to download TikTok and I started making covers.

So many went viral and it gave me awareness on TikTok and I decided to use my favourite colour as my brand and ever since I have been making music’.

She also envisions to become one of the most prominent and award-winning female musicians out of Africa.
