Geofort Africa, a real estate and geospatial solutions company committed to making property ownership simple, secure, and achievable, has marked its first anniversary, celebrating a year of growth, measurable impact, and a growing contribution to Nigeria’s real estate ecosystem.
Founded on the belief that real estate ownership should not be complicated or out of reach, Geofort has spent its first year combining land surveying, geospatial data, real estate, and advisory services to help individuals and families make more informed property decisions.
In its first year of operations, the company has onboarded more than 20 landowners, surveyed over 75 properties, and trained more than 1,500 young people through its education and capacity-building initiatives.
For Geofort, these figures represent more than milestones. They reflect a broader commitment to building trust around property ownership while equipping a new generation with the knowledge and tools to participate meaningfully in the real estate sector.
“From the beginning, we have been intentional about doing things right—holding ourselves to a standard of excellence, paying attention to detail, leading with integrity, communicating with clarity, and stewarding every opportunity and relationship entrusted to us,” said Emeya Friday, CEO, Geofort Africa, reflecting on the company’s first year.
As part of its first-anniversary celebrations, Geofort took its community beyond property transactions with Geofort Escape 1.0, a one-day experience held in Abeokuta on October 1, 2026, to commemorate Nigeria’s Independence Day.
Themed “Explore. Connect. Create Memories,” the experience brought together Geofort clients, partners, team members, and members of its wider community for a day centred on food, culture, history, people, and real estate.
Participants visited PRASINO Lush in Kobape, Abeokuta, one of Geofort’s property developments, before proceeding to the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL), where they explored aspects of Nigeria’s political history, heritage, and leadership journey.
For Geofort, the experience was a deliberate effort to connect people not only with property, but also with the places, stories, culture, and communities around those properties.
One participant, Odosa Ogiemwonyi (Pinky), described the experience as memorable, highlighting the museum visit, connections made, the opportunity to experience PRASINO Lush, and the overall organisation of the trip.
“Words are not enough to express how much we enjoyed ourselves. This was not just some regular outing—the experience was lit. The museum was definitely a favourite, and meeting the CEO of Geofort was another highlight. He’s someone I’d definitely reconnect with—so down-to-earth, cultured, and genuinely real.
I met great people, including some I’ll definitely be working with. And the best part? That PRASINO Lush estate! I’m definitely getting my hands on one of those.
From the museum to dancing and stepping with the crew, the entire experience was memorable. And these guys were prompt too—we were back by 7pm after experiencing it all. It was such a great day.”
The company’s first year has also been characterised by its investment in young people and professional development. Through its training and mentorship initiatives, Geofort has created opportunities for young Nigerians to learn about real estate, surveying, property investment, sales, and other areas of the built environment.
As Geofort enters its second year, the company says its focus remains on expanding its real estate and geospatial offerings, deepening its impact, and building stronger relationships with property owners, investors, professionals, and young people.
The first year has been about establishing the foundation. The next chapter is about building on it.
“One year down. A stronger foundation laid. A bigger vision ahead.”
Geofort’s anniversary marks not only a year in business, but the beginning of a longer journey to make property ownership simple, secure, and achievable.
