It was a star-studded week of film and fashion as Nollywood’s finest stars graced the closing ceremony and Globe Awards of AFRIFF 2019.
Shining brighter than the stars they are named after at the closing ceremony for the ninth edition of the annual Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF) which held last weekend in the heart of Lagos, filmmakers, producers, actors, industry players and watchers graced the red carpet in stunning floor-length dresses, dapper tuxedos, blinging jewellery and stunning accessories.
The film festival’s style streak that kicked off on November 10, had the likes of Rita Dominic, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, Ini Edo, Nse Ikpe-Etim, Lala Akindoju, Ufuoma McDermott, Chika Ike amongst others looking their brightest.
Akin Omotosho’s The Ghost and the House of Truth made the country proud by getting three awards in three different categories including the award for Best Director and Best Female Performance.
