Access The Stars Rock Onitsha Today

As the Onitsha audition for ‘Access The Stars’, a new music reality show powered by Star Lager, a staple from Nigerian Breweries Plc and Access Bank Plc climax today at Dolly Hills Hotel and the concert holds tomorrow at Shoprite, music powerhouse Dare art Alade and Seyi Shay, as a way to fete their fans and alike in Calabar, delivered some memorable performances at the Venetian Arena of the Calabar audition.

Both stars had a great time on stage as they engaged the fans in memorable sing-along moments in closing what was dubbed steaming hot auditions, which held on Friday, December 13 at the Old Parade ground in Calabar.

The show, after taking off in the very late hours of the day under the cool atmosphere of a typical night in Calabar, delivered on its lofty expectations and provided a night of fun and great music, as delivered Seyi Shay and Dare art Alade. Both stars had a great time on stage as they engaged the fans in memorable sing-along moments.

The top five selected talents from the Calabar auditions also made it a night to remember as they sang their hearts out in hopes of impressing the judges. At the end, two lucky contestants made it through to the next round, and both stars were clearly elated after being selected.

Seyi Shay, who has been enjoying her time as a Judge on the show, expressed her expectation for the show’s next outing in Onitsha. “Every city we’ve visited has produced lots of awe inspiring moments. I know Onitsha will not disappoint and I can’t wait to meet some amazing singers in the city,” she said.

Speaking on the initiative, Managing Director of Nigerian Breweries Plc., Jordi Borrut Bel says: “Access Bank and Star Lager have the shared interest of serving Nigerian customers, and through this partnership, we are harnessing our collective strengths to shape an exciting future. Via this collaboration, we will give hidden gems access to shine by discovering, polishing and showcasing them to Nigerians, Africans and the world.”

Also commenting on the partnership, Access Bank MD/CEO, Herbert Wigwe, stated that reality show is borne out of the desire of both NB Plc and Access Bank to continue to connect with people through the one platform they both have in common, which is music.

“Both our brands share a long history of creating excellent musical experiences for not just our customers, but the wider Nigerian audience, and this is us expanding on that,” he said.

The reality show is designed to provide a platform for budding singers to harness their talents and truly get a chance to shine alongside Nigeria’s biggest stars. The show will air on major entertainment channels including Hip Tv, Africa Magic and Views Channel. Discovered talents will tour on ‘The Trek’, alongside a roster of stars that include, Tiwa Savage, Burna Boy, Flavour, Phyno, Olamide, Kcee, among others.
