Fast-rising Nigerian comedian, Ekene Smith had his much-anticipated comedy event, Laff Supper with Ekene Smith & The 12 Disciples, held successfully on Easter Monday, at the Trinity House, Zion Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos, where it attracted a large audience of families, entertainment enthusiasts, and supporters of the comedy industry.

The event, which was organised by the Ekene Smith Adigwu Youth Foundation, with support of Trinity House, was designed not only as a platform for premium comedy, but also as an avenue to celebrate the Easter with families and give back to the community.

Meanwhile, Ekene Smith has revealed his plans for the next edition of the “Laff Supper.” He said the event would hold on Easter Monday 2027 in Nigeria and also in the United Kingdom (UK).

The show featured an array of established comedians, referred to as “the 12 Disciples,” including Efe Warri Boy, MC Shaggi, ATM, MC Laz, Abilitea, Arite, Odogwu and a few others. Each performer delivered engaging sets that kept the audience entertained throughout the duration of the event.

The gathering also served as a platform for talent discovery and development, aligning with the broader vision of the foundation to empower young creatives within the entertainment space. Emerging talents were given visibility, further reinforcing the event’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of performers.

Ekene Smith reflected on the success of the show, noting that it achieved its core objectives of bringing people together during the Easter celebration, promoting laughter as a unifying force, and impacting lives positively through community-focused initiatives.

The well-attended event recorded a strong turnout across its various seating categories, highlighting the level of anticipation and support it garnered prior to its staging.
