As the air is filled with joy and spirit of festivity and people around the world are looking forward to Christmas celebration in a couple of week time, Apostolic Faith Church at Oke-Aro District in Ogun State at Lagos North held her first Christmas Concert for year 2017 on Sunday in a grand style.

The concert was set on motion at 5pm with a processional song rendered by the choir and orchestra filling in; while the congregation was welcomed by the District Overseer in person of Reverend Kayode Segun Ajiboye representing Rev. Emmanuel ‘Bayo Adeniran, the District Superintendent of Apostolic Church in West and Central Africa.

The theme for the 2017 concert was “The Nativity”, and opening song sang by the congregation and orchestra was Joy to the world. The orchestra thrilled the audience with Mozart Symphony No. 41 (3rd Mov./Two Marchesin D), O Christmas Tree, Choir and Keyboard rendition were Hear the Bell, Good Tidings (Tune One of these Days); local melodies featured were Ayo kun Okan wa loni, Ji Wo Kristiani ki Oro Ayo, Maria Wundia, A bi Olugbala among others.

Rev. Ajiboye seized the opportunity to exhort and acquaint the congregation with the benefits of testimonies in the order of the church services at Oke-Aro and other branches as insurmountable problems and challenges are solved; as people testify to the efficacy in the blood of .Jesus. As a foretaste, some members of the choir and orchestra gave the testimonies of their Christian experiences and the import of having a second birth through salvation which goes beyond Christmas festivities and merry making.

In attendance were dignities, namely, the Alagbado of Agbado, Oba Adedayo Shyllon, Onibaragun of Ibaragun, Oba Najim Ige, Reverends, Pastors, Government Officials and people from nooks and crannies of Agege, Ojokoro, Ifo, Coker Town, Sango, Itoki, Akute etc. The concert witnessed serenity and solemnity with congregation held in rapt attention and rounded off at 7pm with a benediction.
