Egwu Records, founded by Nigerian singer Yinka Bernie, is set to hold the country’s first-ever Vinyl festival on December 23, at the Bature Brewery, in Lagos.

The event is set to feature a live performance from Sir Shina Peters, as well as special Vinyl disc jockeying sets from acts like Kem Kem, Dibs, Majid, DJ Tommy, BaddestDJEverLiveth and Yinka Bernie himself.

“This is more than a festival; it’s a celebration of iconic music genres from the ‘70s and beyond. Egwu Records is on a mission to reintroduce vinyl’s rich, tactile experience to a generation increasingly immersed in digital streaming,” the organisers said.

Founded in 2021, Egwu Records is a vinyl collective and enterprise that presses and sells vinyls, as well as their players and speakers.
