5ive Alive Tour: Davido ignites Dar es Salaam as second leg begins

GRAMMY award nominee, David Adedeji Adeleke Jnr., well known as Davido has officially unveiled the second leg of his highly anticipated 5ive Alive tour, kicking things off with an absolutely electrifying performance in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania.

  The Tanzanian capital vibrated with anticipation long before the self-proclaimed Omo Baba Olowo (O.B.O) hit the stage, and when he did, he delivered a high-octane performance that lived up to every expectation.

  From the moment the first beat dropped and Davido emerged under a storm of lights and pyrotechnics, the energy in the Lugalo Golf Club arena was palpable. Dressed in his signature effortlessly cool style, he immediately connected with the frenzied crowd, launching into a high-octane setlist that spanned his illustrious career. Fans were treated to a powerful mix of nostalgic throwbacks and fresh hits, turning the venue into a giant sing-along.

 Davido’s entrance was nothing short of cinematic. The roar of the crowd was deafening as he appeared, immediately diving into fan favourites that had everyone on their feet. The sheer volume of the audience singing along to every word was a testament to his global appeal.

  East Africa remains one of the most vocal fan bases of the Assurance hitmaker in the world. He will on May 2, head to Lusaka, Zambia, for a major show at the Showgrounds Polo Field, reinforcing his commitment to his continental roots amidst his global ascent.

  Meanwhile, the European leg of the tour is set to be a marathon of high-energy performances, spanning seven major cities in two weeks. Starting in Raiffeisen Halle in Vienna, Austra on March 25, Davido will weave through the heart of Europe:

  On March 27, he will electrify The Hall in Zurich, Switzerland from where he will move to Rotterdam Ahoy in Rotterdam, Netherlands        on March 28, before shaking up things in Ancienne Belgique Brussels in Belgium.

  The multiple award winning singer, will perform in B-K Stockholm, Sweden on April 2; Poolen, Copenhagen, Denmark on April 3, while April 5 will see him serenade his Spaniard fans at the Afrobrunch in Barcelona, Spain on April 5.
  Perhaps the most significant addition to the Dami Duro crooner’s 2026 calendar is his confirmed appearance at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, California, United States.

  Davido is slated to perform on both Saturdays of the festival, April 11 and April 18. This marks his first-ever appearance at the iconic desert festival and, notably, he stands as the sole Afrobeats representative on the 2026 lineup.

  Performing alongside headliners like Justin Bieber and Sabrina Carpenter, Davido’s inclusion is being hailed as a major victory for Afrobeats continued global validation.
