Stakeholders in Anambra football have re-elected the chairman of the state’s football association, alongside veteran broadcast sports journalist, Ralph Chidozie George.

The duo’s re-election into the executive board of the Anambra State Football Association (ANSFA) was part of activities at the board’s elective congress held at the East End Hotel in Awka.

They were first elected for a four-year tenure in 2020 but the tenure only commenced in July 2022 when the NFF sanctioned the Chikelue Iloenyosi led board.

Chidozie-George, a former chairman, Sports Writers Association (SWAN) Enugu State chapter, was unanimously elected by the 23 delegates representing Local Football Councils (LFC), Coaches Association, Referees Council and Players Union in the State.

Speaking after the election, the former Radio Nigeria, Brila FM and Cosmo FM Enugu presenter thanked the delegates for unanimously electing him to serve for another four-year term, and assured them that he would continue to work with the board chairman, ‘General’ Chikelue Iloenyosi to sustain the growth and advancement of football in Anambra State.
