NOC’s Advanced Sports Management Course begins in Lagos on Tuesday

The Nigeria Olympic Committee’s (NOC) three-day Advanced Sports Management Course will begin in Lagos on Tuesday, its Public Relations Officer (PRO), Tony Ubani, has said.
Ubani said in a statement made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday in Lagos that the course would help the administrators to broaden their knowledge of sports administration.
The statement quoted NOC’s President, Habu Gumel, as saying the course was a joint initiative of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and its local affiliate, the NOC.
It said that the course, the third in the series, would be an overview of last session’s activities as participants were expected to share their experiences on management and marketing.
It added that it was interactive and would afford participants the opportunity to ask questions, engage in discussions, while a group work on selected case studies and topics like managing marketing will be highlighted extensively.
It also quoted Gumel, an IOC Executive Committee member, as saying that the course aimed at deepening the knowledge of sports managers to engender a sustainable sports development culture.
