Charity Golf Tourney

The Daniel Ogechi Akujobi Memorial Foundation (DOAMF) is set to hold the 15th edition of its yearly Charity Golf Tournament on Saturday, April 18, at the Golf Section of Ikoyi Club, Lagos.

The foundation is committed to providing health care and education to underserved communities and the less privileged. It has since its inception touched over 95,000 lives.

DOAMF achieves its objectives through free medical outreach, award of scholarships to indigent, but intelligent students up to tertiary educational level, as well as organising mentorship programmes in schools.

It also facilitates various educational and skill acquisition programmes, equips school libraries and sick bays, in addition to the donation of welfare materials.

The Media Liaison Officer for the foundation, Bukunmi Osunsina, disclosed that the tournament is held yearly to raise funds for the execution of these programmes, which help to put smiles on the faces of beneficiaries.

Osunsina noted that the donations and support of corporate and individual sponsors have helped in touching lives.
She added that the organising committee for the tournament, passionate golfers from the corporate world, invested in this year’s edition of the tournament to sustain the tradition of excellence and unique tournament day experience.

“They also hope that every participating golfer, as well as sponsors and partners will have a wonderful and fun experience” she said.

The Qualifier for the tournament will take place at the same venue on Saturday, April 4.
