While asleep, we are less active. Mr. Job puts it succinctly this way: “In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumberings upon the bed. Then he openeth the ears of men, and sealeth their instruction,” Job 33:15-16.

While asleep, we are less active. Mr. Job puts it succinctly this way: “In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumberings upon the bed. Then he openeth the ears of men, and sealeth their instruction,” Job 33:15-16.

According to Dr. Allen Hopsin of Harvard Medical School: “Most adult dream for about 60 to 100 minutes during eight hours sleep.”

World Book Encyclopedia 1984 Volume 5 pages 279 says: “Everyone dreams.”

Dreams can reveal the past, show the present and reveal the future: “And the child Samuel ministered unto the Lord before Eli. And the word of the Lord was precious in those days; there was no open vision. And it came to pass at that time, when Eli was laid down in his place, and his eyes began to wax dim, that he could not see. And here the lamp of God went out in the temple of the Lord, where the ark of God was, and Samuel was laid down to sleep. That the Lord called Samuel: and he answered, Here am I,” 1 Samuel 3:1-4.

Dreams are real and deserve our attention: “And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, Son of man, what is that proverb that ye have in the land of Israel, saying, the days are prolonged, and every vision faileth? Tell them therefore, thus saith the Lord God; I will make this proverb to cease, and they shall no more use it as a proverb in Israel; but say unto them, the days are at hand, and the effect of every vision.

“For there shall be no more any vain vision nor flattering divination within the house of Israel. For I am the Lord: I will speak, and the word that I shall speak shall come to pass; it shall be no more prolonged: for in your days, O rebellious house, will I say the word, and will perform it, saith the Lord God. Again the word of the Lord came to me, saying,” Ezekiel 12:21-26.

To ignore all dreams could be dangerous. Don’t make assumptions about dreams consider and look into it. “Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets,” Amos 3:7.

“The secret things belong unto the Lord our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children forever that we may do all the words of this law,” Deuteronomy 29:29.

A lot of lives have been sharpened and have found help through dreams. Through dreams, many have discovered to recover and achieve uncommon success in life. Also, through ignorance to the mystery of dream or by mere taking it to mean nothing, many destinies have been destroyed. The dream is one of the important instruments that God uses to relay His purposes and plans and sometimes warnings of impending danger or dangers to His people.
