“And so was also James, and John, the sons of Zebedee, which were partners with Simon. And Jesus said to Simon, Fear not; from now on you shall catch men. “And when they had brought their ships to land, they forsook all and followed him” (Luke 5:10-11).

God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power. He then went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with Him. Jesus had been a great example, to teach us that we should be His missionaries. Before you became a child of God, you were in the dark, but through Christ, you have overcome darkness. You must let others know the sweetness in Jesus.  1Peter 2:9 says “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that you should show forth the praises of him who has called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.” If we are faithful stewards, we must work to populate the Kingdom of God and not depopulate it. In the past, we were not God’s people, but today, we are enjoying the mercy and goodness of God. The beautiful message of God’s grace and mercy must be shared all over the world by those of us who have been saved so that others can also be saved. The death of Jesus on the cross must not be in vain. The Kingdom of God’s population must not be scanty. We must play our roles as Christians so that we will be compensated by our Heavenly Father.

Psalm 66:16 says “Come and hear, all you that fear God, and I will declare what he has done for my soul.” Let’s testify and declare what God has done for us, inviting others to share in God’s blessing. Some believers had incurable diseases before they knew Christ. Some were barren, some were in abject poverty before knowing Christ, and some were in the bondage of sin, but God in His infinite mercy solved all problems. Our testimonies must be heard by those who don’t believe there’s power in the blood of Jesus.

As a missionary for Christ, you must love Jesus above all material things and relations. It’s necessary to forsake all for Christ. “So likewise, whoever he be of you that forsakes not all that he has, he cannot be my disciple” (Luke 14:33). As a disciple of Christ, you must have a Christ-like attitude, which is worthy of emulation by young Christians and unbelievers. As followers of Christ, we have been called to turn people away from sin, and the pursuit of worldly things. Corrupt communication must not proceed from our mouth. All we say must be edifying, so that it may minister grace to the hearers and encourage the weak. We must bear the pains of the weak and should not be self-centred. Warn sinners to desist from sin, comfort those who are feeble-minded and be patient towards all men.

Finally, we must live an exemplary life.

If you find it difficult to share God’s word, ask for the power of the Holy Ghost and you shall perform exploit.
