Exodus 34:12-17.

An evil altar is a place of evil transactions where many evil things like infirmities, curses and failures, among others, are projected into people’s lives. When we look at our present environment where wickedness is the order of the day, some people do not mind going to any length to make money or harm their fellow human beings. And all this wickedness takes place at the altar. Our Bible passage in Numbers 23:1-7 gives us insight into what happens in an altar. It explained how Balak, the king of Moab, hired Balaam a false prophet, to curse the children of Israel. The name Balaam means “Foreigner” or “stranger.” Balaam could represent a witch doctor or a wizard or occultic person hired or paid to afflict you through a satanic altar. While Balak means a “devastator and an emptier.” An emptier is one who comes in contact with his victim, allows him to live, but removes the contents of life from him.

An illustration of the operation of the emptier is that of a man who goes to the wharf to clear a car he imported into the country, only to discover that the vehicle’s essential parts had been removed because the emptiers had emptied it. That was the ministry of Balak through Balaam to separate the children of Israel from their God, hence emptying them. To achieve this, seven altars were erected and seven sacrifices offered on the altar to power it. Some of you reading this article today are under attack from satanic altars. The reason the enemy is attacking you through these altars is that they have seen where you are going – your destiny. I decree, every evil altar raised by your enemies to stop you will scatter by fire.

Isaiah 44:25 “That frustrateth the tokens of the liars, and maketh diviners mad; that turneth wise men backward, and maketh their knowledge foolish.” Every token fashioned against you in a satanic altar will catch fire in Jesus name. Eventually, through the revelation from the altar, Prophet Balaam plotted the fall of the Israelites. The Moab girls were instructed to wear miniskirts and invade the Israelites camp with a seductive dance style that lured them into immorality and eventually, they were destroyed by God. Every altar raised to destroy your relationship with God, scatters now in Jesus name.

One of the causes of the black man’s problem in Africa is evil altars. Our fathers erected strange altars in pursuit of their comfort and that of their children and grandchildren without considering the consequences of their actions. In Judges 6:1-20, Gideon was a mighty man of valour, yet the evil altar of his father’s house placed a limit in his life. This same type of altar is still speaking against some people today. A brother came to see me for prayer and counselling and narrated his ordeal to me. He is always having disappointment at the edge of major breakthroughs. On a particular day, he was short-listed for an interview. On the eve of the interview, he had a dream. He saw himself telling the village head that he had an interview the next day, so the village head summoned everybody including the village masquerades. They all escorted him to the interview in town. When he woke up, lo and behold, it was a dream. He went for the interview the next day, but could not get the job.
