The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Dominion Sanctuary, ACME Parish, Ogba, last week commissioned the borehole it donated to Agidingbi Community in Ikeja, Lagos State.

Conceived by the church as part of its Christian Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, the project aims at ensuring access to potable water in the community.

Pastor in Charge of Region 19, Brown Oyitso, who led other ministers and members of the church to commission the project said the intervention was in line with the vision and mission of the church to positively impact its host communities.

According to him, the intervention is a direct response to instructions by the General Overseer, Pastor E.A Adeboye who mandated all Parishes to ensure that their impacts are positively felt on the communities they are located.

Oyitso, who doubles as Special Assistant to the General Overseer on Missions, said the latest intervention was sequel to the realisation of the special need of the community, which has long suffered access to potable water.

He assured the community that the church would continue to partner them on other needs identified, even as he lauded the existing cordial relationship between the church and the community.

An elated Baale of Agidingbi, Chief Ganiyu Aruna, was full of praises for the church for coming to the aid of his people. He reaffirmed the difficulties the people encountered before the intervention.

He said: “Since I became Baale of this community, this kind of gesture has never happened. I pray that the good Lord will continue to be with the church and imbue the leadership with more wisdom to do more,” he said.
