Kebbi loses three pilgrims in Saudi Arabia

Three pilgrims from Kebbi State have been confirmed died while performing this year’s Hajj in Saudi Arabia.

Confirming the incident to newsmen yesterday on phone, Hali Bala, a member of the state Amir Hajj delegation who announced their death on behalf of the chairman of the Kebbi State Pilgrim Welfare Agency, Bala Musa Sakaba, said two of the pilgrims died at a hospital in Mecca where they were being treated when they took ill, while one died from a brief illness.

The three pilgrims who were identified as Sani Haruna Zuru, Fati Adamu Fakkai and Adamu Liman Zuru hailed from Argungu and Zuru local councils of the state.

“Yes, we lost three of our pilgrims in Mecca. While two of them died at the hospital in Mecca where they were being treated when they took ill, one died as a result of a brief illness,” he confirmed.

While sympathizing with families and people of the local government areas over the deaths, Bala prayed Almighty Allah to grant them the fortitude to bear the loss of their loved ones.
