ISWAP kills four kidnapped health workers

Four male aid workers kidnapped in northeast Nigeria by Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) during an ambush on their convoy have been killed after talks with the Nigerian government failed.

Conflict journalist Ahmad Salkida who broke the story said one of the aid workers – Grace Taku – was condemned to a lifetime of slavery.

ISWAP kidnapped the Action Aid workers, one woman and five men, near the town of Damasak, Borno State on July 18, 2019, during an attack by the terrorist group that left another aid worker dead.
