Etisalat Unveils Finalists For U-15 School Cup

ONE of Nigeria’s network providers, Etisalat Nigeria, has released the names of schools that will be challenging for the quarter and semi-finals phase of the second National Etisalat Under-15 School Cup competition.

ONE of Nigeria’s network providers, Etisalat Nigeria, has released the names of schools that will be challenging for the quarter and semi-finals phase of the second National Etisalat Under-15 School Cup competition.

The events will hold from April 21 to 24 and the final taking place on April 25, 2015.

The teams include Greensprings Secondary School, Lekki, Lagos; Asegun High School, Oyo; Government Secondary School, Imo; Washington Memorial Grammar School, Onitsha, Anambra; Rimi College, Kaduna; Army Day Junior Secondary School, Sokoto; Winners College Akure, Ondo and Government Model School, Bida, Niger.

According to the Head Events and Sponsorship, Etisalat Nigeria, Modupe Thani: “We are kicking off the quarter final stage of this competition with a lot of actions, optimism and energy. This is not just a competition; it is an avenue to build a lasting legacy of support and exciting football experience at the grassroots. The match fixture will be revealed Monday and each team is expected to stand out and make their ‎ football dreams a reality.”

It will be recalled that Keke Senior High School, Ijaiye, Lagos, won the 2013 edition with a cash prize of N1 million. Also, an expenses paid trip to the United Arab Emirates was offered to the Nigerian Under-15 School Cup champions, where they defeated Al Yasmina School, Abu-Dhabi, 2-0.
