More than seven hundred days after she emerged winner of the Nigerian Idol, Debbie Rise stepped on the big stage once again, but this time, as guest performer for the Season 5 of the music reality show, which kicks off today.

More than seven hundred days after she emerged winner of the Nigerian Idol, Debbie Rise stepped on the big stage once again, but this time, as guest performer for the Season 5 of the music reality show, which kicks off today.

For someone who built her career from the scratch with a dint of hard work and faith, Debie Rise couldn’t better express her empathy for the competitors than she did when she held sway with her hope-instilling and morale-building single, Winner.

Since she became a winner of the Etisalat-sponsored competition, Debie Rise has been rising and shinning. She has been idolised by a teaming fan base for her excitingly melodious music and especially, for her idol eyes. She is a sum of wit, wisdom and wonder. She dances, raps, sings and plays the guitar so well that one cannot tell which she does better.

The Nigerian Idol is a competition that is aimed discovering and empowering Nigerian youths, who are gifted with potentials in music making. It was debuted in 2010 and it’s run annually with over a thousand people making entries in primary stage, and aired both nationwide and the world over on various media platforms.
