As part of efforts aimed at empowering young leaders through education, mentorship and community development initiatives, the Sunday Basil Agba Legacy Foundation (SBALF) is set to hold the Gems in Grassroots Africa Leadership Camp & Conference (G.I.G.A.L) 2024.

With the theme: “Cultivating Community Catalysts: From Grassroots to Greatness,” the event is scheduled to take place from August 11 to August 18, 2024 in Lagos.

The SBALF also extends warm invitation to individuals and organisations to become sponsors and/or partners for the upcoming conference.

The G.I.G.A.L Camp & Conference is a transformative initiative aimed at identifying and nurturing young talent from underprivileged backgrounds.

Designed for youths aged 14 to 18, the programme seeks to cultivate their potential and equip them with essential leadership skills to drive change within their communities. This initiative aligns with the international day for the youth.

Committed to fostering innovative thinking, community development, and active citizenship, the week-long event will feature a six-day camp followed by a conference.

Participants will have the opportunity to engage prominent leaders, participate in skill development workshops and present their community project plans. The conference will conclude with awards recognising the most innovative and impactful ideas.

Under her Education support pillar, the SBALF is dedicated to empowering young leaders through education, mentorship, and community development initiatives. The foundation’s mission is to inspire and cultivate the next generation of change-makers in Africa.

Organisations and well-meaning individuals are invited to support this noble cause by becoming sponsors for the event. This partnership will not only bolster the foundation’s efforts to empower young leaders but also demonstrate a commitment to social responsibility and community development.
