The path of development through health is always decisive in nurturing the deserving community’s wellbeing. A healthy population drives social growth, stability and strengthen the overall progress and this provided Ibom Developers a reason to push for a healthier and brighter future for the community, prioritising it as their commitment towards a prosperous sustainable future.

In continuation of their enduring commitment to community health, Ibom Developers recently organised another full-fledged two-day medical programme on July 5th and 6th, 2024. Held at the Ute Etok Community Health Centre in Oruk Anam LGA, Akwa Ibom State, the programme focused on treating Malaria, Typhoid, Cough, Skin Rashes, Blood Pressure, and Blood Sugar issues, which are prevalent in the area. This initiative provided free medical assistance to over 500 residents, including women, men, and children.

This event is part of a series of ongoing medical programmes that have already made a significant impact in communities in Akwa Ibom. The medical camp witnessed care and concern with the esteemed presence of notable dignitaries, including A.S. Ukere, Village Head of Ute Etok; Ufot D. Enang, Village Head of Ikot Ukpong; Raphael Amos, Deputy Village Head of Ute Etok and Samuel Nathan, Village Council Member.

Ukere expressed gratitude saying, “We deeply appreciate the efforts of Ibom Developers for bringing this medical programme to us. This initiative has provided huge relief to many of our residents dealing with severe health issues.”

Access to quality healthcare services, preventive care and health education can help communities manage environmental health risks and improve overall health outcomes.

Addressing the community, Amos, said, “This effort is a targeted, compassionate intervention that is driving positive change in many communities in Akwa Ibom. When people have good health, they are empowered to contribute more effectively to their families, communities and the economy.”

The ongoing success of these medical projects highlights the vital need for regular and accessible healthcare. Each event points out the organisation’s dedication to empowering individuals and communities, allowing them take responsibility for their health and develop a deeper feeling of self-reliance and resilience.
