The Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS) has warned organisations with undisclosed or untraceable addresses to rectify their tax records within two weeks.

KADIRS, in a public notice on Thursday, revealed that several organisations have failed to provide accurate address information, contravening the Personal Income Tax Act and the Kaduna State Tax Codification and Consolidation Law.

To address this issue, the tax authority has mandated that affected organisations report to its headquarters between Thursday, August 15, and Thursday, August 29, 2024, with specific documentation.

These documents include the Certificate of Incorporation, audited accounts, staff payroll, a list of directors, and a list of expatriates.

KADIRS said, “The Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service hereby notifies the under-listed organisations that their addresses either do not exist or cannot be traced. Pursuant to Section 81 (1-3) of the Personal Income Tax Act as Amended 2011 and Section 30 of the Kaduna State Tax Codification and Consolidation Law, 2020 as Amended,

“it is imperative for these organisations to report to the Tax Intelligence Unit of Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service between Thursday, August 15, and Thursday, August 29, 2024, in respect of tax liabilities to avoid potential enforcement actions and legal consequences.

“Therefore, all organisations listed are required to urgently report to KADIRS Headquarters at No. 8/9 Bima Road, opposite Kaduna Polytechnic (CABS) Marafa, with the following documents and records in order to reconcile all their outstanding tax obligations: CAC Certificate, Audited Account, Staff Payroll, List of Directors, List of Expatriates (If Any).”
