In a world where the global finance and management technology services market is rapidly evolving, the need for specialised skills and knowledge has become paramount. Responding to this need, Fola Financial LLC, an American-based company renowned for its comprehensive financial services, has partnered with Stanchion TM Consults NG, a Nigerian firm celebrated for its innovative, tech-driven services in resource management and education within Public-Private Partnerships (PPP). Together, they are launching the Fola Global Apprenticeship Program 1.0 in Nigeria.

This groundbreaking initiative aims to equip individuals with vital financial literacy, tax, accounting, and small business advisement skills. By fostering a new generation of skilled professionals, the program seeks to combat unemployment among young professionals, enabling them to compete on a global stage.

The collaboration between Sheneya Wilson, CPA, Founder and CEO of Fola Financial LLC, and Temitope Akinsemoyin, Ch.GHRA, Founder and CEO of Stanchion TM Consults NG, underscores the commitment of these black women leaders to advancing global financial education and professional development. Wilson, from the Bronx, New York, and Akinsemoyin, a proud Lagosian, have joined forces to create a unique apprenticeship program that bridges continents and empowers African youth.

Participants in the Fola Global Apprenticeship Program will engage in a series of comprehensive training sessions, including an IRS-accredited program (T.E.L.P) from September 9th to October 31st, covering crucial areas such as taxation, financial literacy, and small business advisement. A standout feature of the program is the opportunity for participants to apply for a virtual paid apprenticeship with the host organisation. This practical, hands-on experience will run from January 15th, 2025, to December 5th, 2025, offering invaluable insights and skills that are essential in today’s job market.

Upon successful completion, participants will receive certification that opens doors to remote job opportunities worldwide, including in the USA/Pacific region. This certification not only promotes the use of technology and innovation but also contributes to improving the local economy and reducing unemployment among Nigerian youth.

The Fola Global Apprenticeship Program 1.0 is more than a training initiative; it is a transformative journey toward a brighter future for many young professionals. The program will culminate in the AFRICA FOLA FIN CON, a finance and management conference set to take place in December 2024 in Lagos and Abuja. This event will celebrate the achievements of the participants, marking the beginning of a new chapter in their professional lives and setting the stage for their future success.
