Operatives of the Lagos State Police Command on Monday blocked a major section of the road along New Garage/Berger Bus Stop leading to a Traffic that started from Long Bridge in Ogun State.

Eyewitnesses reported that the police barricade was observed around 8 am in the morning and motorists and pedestrians were forced to navigate alternative routes, leading to congestion on the highway.

The police operation, whose purpose was not immediately clear, drew frustration from drivers and passengers alike.

Some passengers were forced to trek a long distance in order to meet up with their assignments at work.

A message was sent to the Lagos State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, and he has not replied as at the time of filling the report.
