President Tinubu

Alhaji Sufianu Kazeem, who was an ally to Bashorun MKO Abiola, has charged former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, and others to join hands with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration to lead the country to the promised land.

Kazeem said Atiku and others should put aside their ambitions and seek better ways of contributing their quota towards the development of the nation.

Kazeem made the call in a statement made available to journalists in response to the proposed six-year single-term tenure by Atiku.

He urged political parties to form an alliance with Tinubu to move Nigeria forward and to stop hate speeches that could damage the nation.

He expressed his support for Atiku over the recent letter to the National Assembly on the proposed single term and rotational presidency in Nigeria, saying it is not too late for the former Vice President to push for such a proposal.

Recall that Atiku Abubakar had proposed a six-year single term and rotational presidency between the South and the North.

Kazeem stated that such a proposal should be considered by the National Assembly, saying Atiku’s proposal should not only be limited to the president but also to state governors and national and state assemblies.
