Gratitude journalling

Ever paused to count your blessings and felt instant rush of emotions and mood boost? That’s the magic of gratitude journalling—a simple, fulfilling practice that helps you savour life’s sweet moments and stay grounded.

It’s always found in the little, almost minute things of life— such as a call from a longtime friend, children penning heartfelt gratitude to how amazing you have been as their guardian, a colleague lending a helping hand when you least expected it (But needed it so bad), your wife singing your praise of how good you’ve kept up with provision, even when you didn’t know how to get the next one, or a surprise hug from a loved one, writing them down unlocks a fresh wave of joy and positivity.

Why gratitude journaling rocks

It’s like therapy, but cheaper. Gratitude journalling improves mental clarity, reduces stress, and even strengthens relationships. Research shows that when you focus on the good, you train your brain to spot more of it. Imagine walking through life with glasses that highlight beauty instead of chaos—yes, that’s the vibe!

How to start your gratitude journal

Get a Journal: Any notebook works, but a fancy one adds flair. Keep it by your bedside or in your bag for on-the-go reflections. But if you’re a team of no-hard-copies, do it the tech way—get on with your private space on your gadget and pen some gratitude down. Morning or night reflections? Choose what fits your schedule. The uptick is just to stay consistent.

Start Simple: Write three things you’re grateful for daily. It could be small—like power lasting through the night—or major, like landing your dream job, be Specific.
Saying: “I’m grateful for my friend” is okay, but “I’m grateful for Tolu’s laugh that cracks me up every Monday” hits better. Make it more fun, add doodles, quotes, or even song lyrics that spark joy.

Set a reminder

Set a reminder on your phone. It’s easy to forget when life gets busy, but trust me, making time for gratitude is a game-changer.

Start journalling today and watch your life transform, one grateful note at a time. Who knows? Your gratitude glow might just inspire others to join the bandwagon!
