The awards honour the unwavering spirit of women who continue to defy the odds, break barriers, and inspire future generations to dream bigger, go farther, and achieve the impossible.

Tagged ‘The Lipstick Force’, this year’s awards seek to illuminate the exceptional contributions of women and elevate the essence of the lipstick force. Speaking at a media briefing in Lagos to announce the event, Founder, Ladies in Business Magazine Global and organiser of the awards, Amb. Helen Adeshola Onadipe, said: “At Ladies in Business Magazine Global, we have made it our mission to ensure that the voices of these remarkable women are heard, seen, and celebrated. Our platform continues to champion women in business globally, recognising not just the well-known but the unsung heroes who work tirelessly behind the scenes. The She Global Awards Inc. 2025 is a continuation of that mission, giving women the recognition they deserve while inspiring others to rise and lead.

“This year’s edition in Nigeria will bring together thought leaders, industry professionals, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and activists from across the globe. We will celebrate not only the individual achievements but also the collective power of women in creating a better future for all.”

On the theme of the awards, Onadipe said the lipstick, which every woman used for makeup, whether red, white or purple colour, has a strong force that speaks of the unique personality about the boldness and audacity of a woman.

“The lipstick is not just about the colour, but the empowerment, and the force behind a woman applying a lipstick and speaking at every event or anywhere she found herself with that boldness and audacity to say here I am.” She added that the lipstick is a symbol that reminds women of the strength, the resilience, and the grace endowed in them, she said.

The awards categories include: Achievers Category, Corporate Ladies in Business, Top Ladies in Business, Young Female and the ‘He for She’ category, which is for recognition of men that have been very supportive of women, especially men that are supporting platforms and organisations that are empowering women.

To qualify for selection, nominees must own an existing business that is registered and has been operating for at least one year, with board members and staff strength of at least 50 per cent women.

Chief Executive Officer, Kolony Events and Designs, Amb. Adenike Adedeji, encouraged young women that are upcoming entrepreneurs, to take advantage of diverse business opportunities in Nigeria to empower themselves and other women.

Managing Director, Foundation Integrated Services, Omolara Omoniyi, advised young women to be focused and to keep working hard in order to attain their goals in life. The organisers noted that this year’s edition in Nigeria will bring together thought leaders, industry professionals, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and activists from across the globe.
