Wizkid, Davido, Burna Boy are top nominees for this year’s edition of the Africa Arts Entertainments Awards, AAEA, which is scheduled to take place in Kenya next month, August 17.

The news, however, is that the global music stars are locking horns in several categories, including the Best Continental Male Artiste and Continental Artiste of the Year.

Also nominated in different categories of the awards are Afobeats international phenomenon Rema, Tems, Tiwa Savage, Asake, Kiz Daniel, Simi, Omah Lay, Yemi Alade, Majeed, Lojay, Ayra Starr and and a host of others.

Davido tops the nominee list with nominations in 12 categories. He is followed by Burna Boy with 10 nominations, while Wizkid is next with nominations in seven categories. The award recognises and celebrates the achievements of music artistes across the African continent. Davido, Burna Boy and Wizkid are locking horns in several categories, including the Best Continental Male Artiste and Continental Artiste of the Year.

Other categories of the awards include, Continental Album/EP of the Year, Best Continental Int’l Feature, Best Continental Afro R&B Hit, and Best Continental Afro Rap Fusion Hit, among others.
