As part of efforts to raise awareness and combat the scourge of HIV/AIDS, the Nigerian Business Coalition Against AIDS (NIBUCAA) has partnered with DMG Events Nigeria to curtail the ailment.

This is one of the high points of the just concluded NOG Energy Conference 2024, held at the International Conference Center, Abuja.

The initiative, they noted, aims to impact individuals with the awareness of best practices to manage their health and wellbeing as well as reduce the spread of the virus.

Speaking on the partnership, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, NIBUCAA and HIV Trust Fund of Nigeria (HTFN), Dr. Jekwu Ozoemene, expressed gratitude for DMG Events’ continuous support.

He said the collaboration, built on DMG Events’ long standing support for NIBUCAA as part of its corporate social responsibilities, amplified NIBUCAA’s outreach efforts and directly impacts thousands of attendees.

“DMG Events Nigeria is an active partner of the Nigerian Business Coalition Against AIDS (NIBUCAA) and has graciously supported NIBUCAA for years by raising funds to carry out some programmes. This year was no different, and we are immensely grateful for their continued support,” stated Dr. Ozoemene.

On her part, Country Director, DMG Events Nigeria, Wemimo Oyalana, said the collaboration between both parties would foster positive change and drive crucial public health initiatives in Nigeria.

“I want to commend NIBUCAA on the crucial work they are doing to support the health of our citizens. Their efforts in HIV/AIDS prevention and education is vital, and we are happy to support them.”

The Guardian reports that NIBUCAA is a coalition of leading Nigerian businesses like Access Holdings, Shell Development Petroleum Company, Dangote Group, Julius Berger Nigeria Plc among others.

Its core mission is to mobilize the private sector in the fight against HIV/AIDS through various programmes and advocacy efforts within workplaces and communities.
