The sixth edition of the SheCan Nigeria Conference is set to hold on Friday, July 18, at Balmoral Convention Center, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, with over 7,000 participants expected to attend the yearly gathering aimed at empowering and equipping women to achieve more across their personal and professional lives.
With the theme, ‘SheCan Do More: The Woman in Her Power’, founder and convener, Ezinne Ezeani, said the platform has empowered thousands of women through vocational training, business and career roundtables, mentorship, and access to enterprise support services.
Now in its sixth year, the SheCan Nigeria Conference has grown into a nationwide movement focused on three pillars: educate, empower, and transform. “This year’s event will feature three major panel sessions covering purpose discovery, business and career growth, as well as wellness, family, and mental health. Among the prominent speakers expected are Bishop Funke Felix-Adejumo, actress and producer Omoni Oboli, Audrey Joe-Ezigbo, Bummi George, amongst others.
Ezeani noted that all speakers are selected based on demonstrated impact and a proven track record of success in their respective fields. She described the conference as a transformational platform that brings together accomplished leaders to inspire the next generation of women changemakers.
A board member of SheCan Nigeria, Olajumoke Ajayi, described the programme as a life-changing intervention that has impacted not only women but entire communities. She recalled testimonies of women who found healing and renewed purpose through past editions, including a participant who overcame depression after attending a virtual session. The event is supported by partners including MTN Nigeria, Wema Bank, Optiva Capital Partners, and St. Ives Hospital.
