Brace Foundation, a leading advocate for inclusive education in Nigeria, has awarded N17 million in scholarships to 34 children with special needs across 27 educational institutions nationwide. The scholarships, disbursed in early July 2025, aim to remove financial barriers and ensure that children living with disabilities have equal access to quality education.
Dr. Soibi Godwin-Clark, Executive Director of Brace Foundation, highlighted the significance of the initiative, saying, “At Brace Foundation, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to succeed regardless of their physical or cognitive abilities. These scholarships are more than financial aid.
They are a signal of hope and a step toward an inclusive society where all children are valued. We are proud to walk alongside these families as partners in their children’s educational journey. We look forward to giving the next batch of scholarships in September 2025.”
Parents of beneficiaries have expressed gratitude for the support.
Habilla Daniel, a parent, shared, “Good evening sir, my son’s school has informed us about the payment they received on behalf of Daniel’s needs in school. Myself and my family, including Daniel, are saying a big thank you and a prayer from our hearts to Brace Foundation. More increase and blessings upon the founder.”
The scholarship program underscores Brace Foundation’s commitment to creating lasting change by removing educational obstacles and ensuring that no child is excluded from learning due to disability or financial limitations.
A purpose-driven non-profit organisation, Brace Foundation continues to support children with special needs through scholarships, advocacy, and educational resources, promoting inclusion and driving reform in Nigeria’s special education sector.
