In a bid to strengthen Indonesia-Nigeria ties through humanitarian action, founder of Kirti’s Kare Foundation (KKF), Dr. Kirti Sudhanshu, has advanced her Legacy Project an initiative to provide artificial limbs free of charge to amputees across Nigeria.
Dr. Kirti, widely celebrated for championing ‘INDO9JA’ relations, met with Dr. Vincent Olatunji, Chairman and CEO of the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC), in Abuja to explore data-driven strategies that will enable nationwide outreach.
Quoting her guiding philosophy of Vasudev Kutumbakam “One World, One Nation”, Dr. Kirti said: “Amputees are not disabled; they are able to empower themselves and their nation. With divine guidance, we connect the dots to create lasting change. Life first, as human.”
Since its launch in 2022 and inauguration of its Legacy Centre in Lagos in March 2023, KKF has been redefining humanitarian outreach in Nigeria. The Foundation is now seeking state-by-state data on amputees to build awareness, expand empowerment programmes, and ensure no amputee is left behind.
Dr. Kirti envisions KKF growing into a global humanitarian brand, much like Rotary International is recognised for ending polio and Lions Club for its global eye hospitals.
Dr. Vincent Olatunji, who pledged support as a founder trustee of the KKF Legacy Society, commended her commitment noting, “we appreciate collaborations that empower people with knowledge and capacity. Be the resource of change.”
