Ms. Christiana Omowunmi Emmanuel, fondly known as Christy O. Emman, is steadily building a movement anchored on faith, resilience, and transformation in an era where purpose-driven leadership is redefining impact,
As the convener of Vibrant Ladies International Ministry, she is championing a cause that seeks to empower women and youth to maximize their potential while upholding integrity. A conference speaker, counsellor, and trained public speaker, fashion icon, Christy combines her passion for communication with a deep-rooted calling to serve.

Her affiliation with Toastmasters International and her background in administration have further strengthened her voice as a mentor and leader committed to raising confident and purpose-driven individuals. At the heart of her NGO is a clear mission: to infuse hope, courage, and confidence into women and young people. Through a range of empowerment programmes, the ministry focuses on building self-esteem, instilling poise and etiquette, and equipping participants with the mindset needed to thrive in today’s world.

“We are raising women and youth of integrity who understand their worth and are equipped to become the best version of themselves,” she says. Beyond mentorship, the organisation runs health and self-care initiatives that have helped many adopt healthier lifestyles, improve mental well-being, and enhance productivity.

For Christy, empowerment is holistic-it must address both the mind and body. Her journey into leadership, however, began long before the formal establishment of her ministry. Growing up, she naturally gravitated towards guiding her peers, often gathering friends to counsel and encourage them.

“My microphone then was a wrapped exercise book,” she recalls with a smile, reflecting on her early days of influence. At St. Monica’s College, Kabba, Kogi State, she emerged as a vibrant student leader-serving in the Christian Union and actively participating in literary and debating societies. Her flair for creativity and presentation also earned her recognition as a standout figure among her peers.

Her academic pursuit at Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, where she obtained a Higher National Diploma in Public Administration, further refined her leadership abilities. Subsequent professional trainings including at the National Broadcast Academy of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria and in communication development- equipped her with the technical and strategic skills needed to expand her reach.

Over the years, Christy has translated her vision into platforms that resonate widely. From her earlier television engagements to her current digital presence as host of Vibrant Ladies in the Waiting Room with Christy, she continues to provide guidance, particularly for women navigating seasons of uncertainty.

The ministry has also carved a niche in cultural advocacy. In October 2025, it hosted a global online event celebrating Africa’s rich cultural heritage, featuring poetry, music, and fashion. The initiative brought together participants from Nigeria and the diaspora, reinforcing the beauty and diversity of African identity. Yet, despite these strides, significant challenges remain. Chief among them is funding.

“Empowerment is not complete without financial capacity. There are many initiatives we hope to implement, especially in financial empowerment, but limited resources continue to slow us down.”

She calls for greater support from government and private stakeholders, emphasizing that increased funding would enable the organisation to scale its impact and reach more underserved communities. Behind her success is a strong support system.
