ACE Provost tasks corporate bodies on social responsibility

The Provost of Adeyemi College of Education (ACE) Ondo, Prof. Olukoya Ogen, has emphasized the need for corporate organisations to always to fulfil their social responsibility pledge to the environment they operate.

Ogen who was speaking while playing host to the management of Ecobank Plc who donated 10 HP 15 brand Laptop computer sets donated to the institution, stressed the need for the corporate bodies to assist tertiary institutions in the area of infrastructural development.

He thanked the management of the bank for fulfilling their pledge to donate computers for the use of the institution saying the donation of 10 computers out of the 100 computers earlier pledged was a welcomed development

He thanked the bank’s management for their support to the growth and development of the college saying their plan to partner with the college in the construction of student hostels and staff quarters is laudable.

He remarked that the installation of Automation Teller Machines (ATM) and commencement of its branch in the institution would enhance the good relationship existing between it and the bank.

The institution’s registrar, Mr. Felix Aderinboye, thanked Ecobank for the humanitarian services and pledged the readiness of the college to partner with it in the attainment of its goals.

Aderinboye used the occasion to solicit support from other corporate organisations by imploring them to emulate the bank, stating that the move would enable them contributes their quota to the development of the institution.

Representative of the bank, Mrs. Ada Tony-Ilebor, said the donation was a demonstration of the bank’s commitment to the growth of the college.
