THE movie Still Standing starring Jackie Appiah, Bobby Obodo and others screens in cinemas nationwide from today. The movie is a chronicle of the joy and pain of a striving young American family, originally from Africa, and living the America dream until a major tragedy alters the family’s course. Nne-Amaka, just like so many other virtuous women, will be the lifeguard for the family in the middle of this stormy sea. 

Jos Festival of Theatre underway

The 9th Jos Festival of Theatre 2015 with the theme ‘Telling Untold Stories: Making a Difference through the Arts’ will open at 5pm daily from March 10 to 14. It also features workshops and exhibitions all through.

Alkali’s The Virtuous Woman is PHWBC March Book-of-the-Month

Port Harcourt World Book Capital’s final book in focus is The Virtuous Woman by Zainab Alkali. Reading and drama presentation will take place on March 15 by 3pm at Hotel Presidential, GRA,  Port-Harcourt.
