Insecurity: Emir orders district, village heads to screen visitors, strangers

Following continuous insecurity in the country, Emir of Kontagora, Saidu Nnmasika has ordered district and village heads to screen visitors or strangers found in the area.

Nnmasika who spoke to newsmen through Aminu Ahmed, the Madawaki Kontagora yesterday, said that the emirate has gone back to normal principles by involving all the districts and villages under the emirate to fish out criminals in the area. He said the emirate has been collaborating with security agencies, teachers and clerics to ensure that the lives and properties of citizens are protected, while urging parents to caution their children with dangerous friends.

The Guardian gathered that Kotangora Emirate in Niger State which shares border with Zuru and Yauri emirates under Kebbi State has been a den for hoodlums and criminals for a while.
