A human resource expert, Victoria Ibawa, has proffered actionable insights for navigating workplace dynamics. Part of the efforts, she mentioned, are solutions to boost workplace productivity and growth in career journeys.

This is contained in Ibawa’s new book titled ‘Maximising Your Career Seasons’, which was unveiled recently. She said the book aims to reach out to young talented individuals and people in their different career paths to help mentor and nurture their growth.

At the launch, she said the book was designed to support professionals at various stages of their careers, guiding them to become the best versions of themselves while achieving balance across work, family, and personal growth.

Ibawa, who describes herself as a mother, career professional, and mentor, said she was passionate about impacting the lives of both the young and old, putting them on track.

Sharing her inspiration behind the book, she said: “This book came out of a burden to help young career professionals and others in different stages of their careers.

“It is about maximising every phase you find yourself in. No two career journeys are the same, and this book is a guide to help individuals embrace their unique paths

“The book addresses challenges such as workplace realities, relationship building, and mentorship, as well as integrating work with family life. “I began the book with ‘begin with gratitude’ because wherever you are, whether you are striving for more or feel stuck, gratitude is a starting point.”

She added that it is also ideal for mentors and mentees as a guide for professional growth. Learning expert, Esohen Adetola, at the launch, stressed the value of mentorship and self-awareness in achieving career goals.

Adetola praised the book for addressing professionals across the four seasons of life, spring (beginning stages), summer (growth and bloom), autumn (winding down), and winter (transitional phases).

“This book speaks to everyone, no matter the season you’re in. It is about making the best of every opportunity,” she added.
