ICSAN inaugurates Kaduna chapter
The Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN) has unveiled the Kaduna State chapter, the first in the northern region.
President and Chairman of Council, ICSAN, Funmi Ekundayo, at the inauguration, charged the new chapter leadership to be dedicated to duties.
She urged the new leadership to face their duties and responsibilities with dedication and commitment with which chartered secretaries are obligated to perform their roles.
She said they should not only carry the members of the chapter along in their governance and policy implementation but also strive to lead with principles, discipline, transparency and disclosure, as well as sincerity of purpose which the ICSAN brand is reputed for.
While enjoining members’ support, she said responsibilities could be discharged through prompt payment of the chapter’s yearly subscription, active participation in activities and serving as ambassadors of the chapter in larger spheres of activities.
According to her, ICSAN has led in shaping the corporate governance agenda and promoting best practices, which are essential for good organisational performance.
Chairman of the Committee on Publicity and Advocacy, Nkechi Onyenso, said the inauguration was part of the president’s fulfillment since the assumption of office to align its presence across the six geo-political zones.
