Summit to empower next generation of African leaders
The African Leadership Review, a publication dedicated to recognising and promoting leadership excellence across Africa is set to inspire and empower the next generation of African leaders at its upcoming awards.
The Guardian gathered that this year’s excellence award is expected to honour individuals and organisations that have made significant strides in advancing development, promoting good governance, fostering economic growth, and enhancing social well-being across Africa, covering categories such as public service, business leadership, social impact, innovation and youth leadership.
According to the organisers, African Leadership Review (ALEX) remains committed to showcasing the continent’s brightest talents and highlighting the impactful work being done to drive Africa forward.
With the theme ‘Leading in the Culture of Change: How Leaders Should Handle It,’ the organisers said the goal of the ALEX was to facilitate dialogue between African leaders, the private sector, civil societies and academia to discuss the issues affecting Africa and how the continent could harness its vast resources to enhance the development of the African people.
Slated to be held in Lagos on Sept 13, it added that nominations for the Excellence Award 2024 have been carefully reviewed by a distinguished panel of judges, while the final awardees represent the pinnacle of dedication, resilience, and visionary leadership, embodying the values that the African Leadership Review stands for.
