Twelve years ago, Base World was just a dream fueled by passion and determination. It all began in a small Lagos apartment, where music filled the air and ideas flowed like rhythm. Princess Omotoyosi, also known as Princess Base, envisioned something beyond just music promotion, she dreamed of building a brand that would connect talent to the world and elevate African music to new heights.

The early days were a whirlwind of challenges. With limited resources, Princess Base juggled multiple roles, consultant, promoter, marketer, and talent scout. Yet, her unwavering belief in the potential of every artist she worked with propelled Base World forward. From hosting small showcases to curating promotional campaigns, the brand began gaining traction in the Nigerian entertainment scene.

As the years rolled by, Base World evolved. The launch of its music distribution division on June 15, 2024, marked a turning point. The division thrived, offering artists more visibility and empowering them to reach global audiences. Through innovative digital marketing, radio promotions, and talent management strategies, Base World became a go-to name in the industry.

Now, at 12 years strong, Base World stands as a beacon of resilience and growth. It’s not just a company—it’s a family, built on trust and hard work. Every artist signed, every campaign launched, and every milestone achieved has been a testament to the brand’s mission: to nurture talent and push Afrobeats and other African sounds onto the world stage.

The journey is far from over. With eyes set on expanding internationally, exploring new music genres, and launching more innovative services, Base World’s future is bright.

As Base World at 12 celebrates its remarkable journey, one thing is certain—its story is just beginning. The next chapter promises to be even greater, filled with new stars, new sounds, and endless possibilities.
