CCC Naija talent awards set to hold with N750,000 cash prize
The Celestial Church of Christ (CCC) has announced the maiden edition of the CCC Naija Talent of the Year Awards (NTOYA), set to take place on November 7, 2024.
The event is aimed at showcasing the hidden talents within the youth of the CCC and providing them with a platform to display their abilities before a global audience.
The convener of the event, Olufemi Hamed, popularly known as Femi Oracle, who is also the founder of the Jerimoyamah Concert USA, emphasised that the CCC Naija Talent of the Year Awards is part of a broader initiative to give back to society and create opportunities for the youth within the church.
Speaking on the motivation behind the event, Hamed explained that there are numerous hidden talents among the youth in the CCC, as this platform is an opportunity to bring them to light.
“We are using this initiative to expose their talents to the world and show the wonders of God through their gift,” he stated.
He also highlighted the link between the CCC Naija Talent Awards and the larger Jerimoyamah Concert USA, which is the biggest Celestial Church concert in North America.
According to him, the concert, now in its fifth edition, is centered on evangelising through music and celebrating the unique culture of the Celestial Church.
“As the largest CCC concert in North America, Jerimoyamah Concert USA aims to evangelize the world through celestial music and culture. We see the church as a powerful tool for transforming the world, and this talent show is our way of contributing to that vision,” Hamed said.
The event’s star prize will be a whopping N750,000, with additional rewards for participants. The goal is to increase these amounts in future editions, with the long-term vision of creating millionaires out of CCC youth through their talents.
“The star prize is N750,000, and we hope to increase that in the future. We want to nurture millionaires from within the Celestial Church, as there are few platforms dedicated to showcasing the incredible talents within our church. The CCC leadership hasn’t done enough to develop these talents, and as a result, many youths have left the church. This initiative is a step towards changing that and bringing pride back to the CCC,” Hamed explained.
He also touched on the importance of focusing on the youth and providing them with the tools and platforms necessary for their growth.
He noted that while the current focus is on CCC members, there is potential to expand the initiative to other denominations in the future.
In his closing remarks, Hamed urged everyone to look out for the Jerimoyamah Concert USA’s fifth edition and the CCC Naija Talent of the Year Awards, as these events aim to put the CCC on the national and global stage, celebrating the church’s untapped talent.
“Being part of the Celestial Church is something to be proud of, and through this initiative, we’re bringing that pride back. The world will soon recognize the talents of CCC youth, and they will be celebrated globally,” he concluded.
