The Nigerian music industry has witnessed tremendous growth over the years, with numerous players working behind the scenes to ensure its global expansion. One such key figure is Ayomide Fasakin, popularly known as Ayo Fash, whose contributions to music marketing and public relations have helped shape the industry.

Born and raised in Lagos, Fasakin developed an early passion for music, which led him to explore the business side of the industry. His curiosity and dedication to promoting music led him, alongside his brother Damilola Ogayemi, to establish a music blog, Musikplug, in 2015. By 2019, the platform had evolved into a full-fledged music marketing and PR company, now known as Musikplug Media.

Since its transformation, Musikplug Media has built a strong reputation, forming partnerships with over 150 local and international media outlets, including Echo Room, Cool FM, Beat FM, Rhythm FM, MTV Base, Soundcity, and Earmilk. The company has also successfully handled major promotional campaigns for brands and artists such as Hennessy Artistry, DJ Shawn, Oxlade, Killervybez, Blaqbonez, Superwozzy, DJ Consequence, and Big Baby C.

Speaking on his vision for the industry, Fasakin stated, “My goal has always been to bridge the gap between Nigerian artists and the global market. There is so much talent here, and the world needs to see and appreciate it.”

With his expertise in spotting potential talents and building media networks, Fasakin has earned recognition as a trusted figure in the music industry. He said, “We are not just marketing music, we are telling stories, shaping narratives, and ensuring that African sounds reach every corner of the world.”

As the Nigerian music industry continues to break international barriers, players like Ayomide Fasakin are at the forefront, ensuring that artists receive the recognition they deserve.
