Red Circle, the highly anticipated Nollywood crime thriller, is set for a global theatrical release, starting with cinemas nationwide on June 6, 2025.

Produced by Rixel Studios, the film brings together an ensemble of Nollywood’s finest cast and crew.

According to the producers, it delivers a gripping narrative that blends suspense, action, and an unfiltered look at power and corruption in modern-day Lagos.

It noted that ‘Red Circle’ follows investigative journalist Fikayo Holloway (played by Folu Storms) as she unravels a web of secrets tied to a powerful crime syndicate in the Lagos metropolitan area.

Her investigation leads her to a mysterious businessman who pulls the strings of corruption, wealth, drugs, and even murder in the city, but exposing him comes at a risk that threatens not only her life but the lives of those dear to her.

The film producer, Nora Awolowo, explained that with stunning cinematography, high-octane action, and a deeply emotional core, Red Circle is poised to be a landmark in Nollywood cinema.

“This film is a labour of love,” Awolowo said, noting that “We have poured everything into creating a cinematic experience that is both thrilling and socially relevant. We can’t wait for audiences to experience Red Circle on the big screen.”

Directed by Akay Mason (Elevator Baby, Superstar), written by Abdul Tijani-Ahmed (Brotherhood, Skinny Girl In Transit) and produced by Awolowo and Tijani-Ahmed, Red Circle features a powerhouse cast, including Bukky Wright, Timini Egbuson, Tobi Bakre, Lateef Adedimeji, Femi Branch, Omowunmi Dada, Mike Afolarin, Ruggedman, Debo Macaroni, and more.

“Red Circle is more than just a thriller—it’s a story about truth, power, and the risks of uncovering secrets that some would kill to keep hidden,” adds director Akay Mason.

“Viewers should prepare for a visual and psychological treat because Red Circle is as visually stunning as it is emotionally charged.

“With a strategic global rollout and an extensive marketing campaign, Rixel Studios and Nile Distribution aim to bring Red Circle to the forefront of international cinema. Presale tickets will be available soon, with exclusive early screenings planned in select cities,” the Director added.
