NLNG has announced significant progress on its Train 7 gas project, confirming that it has reached 70 per cent completion. Speaking yesterday during a courtesy to The Guardian, the Manager of Corporate Communications and Public Affairs, Anne-Marie Palmer-Ikuku, said the project was on course and expected to meet its projected timelines.

Speaking on the company’s rebranded trade name, she said the new trade name NLNG, Palmer-Ikuku highlighted that the rebranding was an attestation of the company’s vision towards embracing innovations for enhanced sustainability.

“The new logo is a transformative logo just to show our commitment to who we are now and who we were 35 years ago, the new logo is our commitment to new energy, sustainable environment, innovation and how we process our gas and how we ensure that there is sustainability,” she explained.

She reiterated that the importance of the transformation positions the company as a forward-looking institution, noting that NLNG’s new logo represents a dynamic and future-focused identity, embodying the company’s commitment to leading with purpose while embracing sustainability.

Palmer-Ikuku emphasised that NLNG would continue to help build a better Nigeria, reiterating its importance and significance of harnessing flared gas, liquefied and monetised for the government.

“The green in our logo represents our productivity, Nigerian roots, care for the environment, sustainability and life while the lemon represents our dynamic and ever-evolving business strategies and the blue stands for our global shipping operations and our commitment to sustainable energy and the future,” she explained.

Media and Publicity Advisor, NLNG, Elkanah Chanwai, mentioned that the rebranding is rooted in a legacy of excellence while embracing the future with optimism and courage.

“The future is that we hope, we as a company are part of that value chain, we see it as a good outcome that people are coming in and finding a way to use gas, it can also be used for electricity, the more it goes to power companies, the more electricity we have.

“The future should be where we have so much control over that resource that we are making so much money out of it, not wasting anything at all. We are a solution which has necessitated the change of name,” he said.
