Digital agency expands with new office in Ajah to strengthen services
Aggital Works, a digital development agency, has opened its new office at B4-313 HFP Eastline Shopping Complex, Abraham Adesanya, Ajah, Lagos. The grand opening, held on 17 January 2025, signifies a new phase in the company’s operations as it seeks to enhance its services and expand its reach.
The Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Oghoghozino Otefia, expressed gratitude for the company’s progress since its establishment in 2016. “We started from my home, then moved to a rented space. Today, we own our office. It’s been a journey of hard work, faith, and perseverance, and we thank God for how far we’ve come,” he said.
Otefia highlighted the agency’s achievements, including the launch of Ushoppen, a product that allows small businesses to manage websites and sales without technical expertise. “Our mission is to make digital tools accessible and affordable for SMEs. Unlike other platforms, we don’t charge transaction fees, giving businesses the freedom to grow without financial strain,” he explained.
The company aims to reach five million Ushoppen users within five years while expanding its services to include real estate and advanced digital solutions. Reflecting on the challenges faced, Otefia noted the initial struggles of hiring skilled talent and securing projects. “We started by training friends and family to save costs. Over time, we’ve learned how to balance serving high-end clients with meeting the needs of a broader audience,” he said.
Otefia urged the government to support the tech industry through grants and policies. “The digital industry in Nigeria is mostly self-funded. The government should invest in local talent and provide incentives to drive innovation and economic growth,” he added.
Dr Austine Dairo, who attended the opening, congratulated the team, saying, “Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labour in vain.”
