Police rescue three kidnap victims in Lagos

Operatives of the Lagos State Police Command have successfully rescued three kidnapped individuals less than 24 hours after their abduction along the Lekki-Epe Expressway in Ibeju-Lekki.
Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama that the victims, Umezulike Joseph, Eze Theodorah, and Rosemary Ogwulu, were abducted on March 7, 2025.
The sources said that upon receiving the distress call, six special tactical squads from the Anti and Counter-Kidnapping Unit were deployed to the area.
The intense pressure from the advancing police teams compelled the kidnappers to abandon their captives deep within the forested region along the expressway.
The victims, who appeared visibly traumatized, were promptly provided with medical attention and have since been reunited with their families.
The sources said that the command had initiated an investigation to apprehend the fleeing suspects and ensure they face justice.
