Incorporated in Nigeria on April 1, 1955, Jos. Hansen & Soehne (Nigeria) Limited is a subsidiary of the Jos. Hansen & Soehne Group of Companies with affiliated offices in Ethiopia, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Kenya, Rwanda, Malawi and Ghana with the head office in Hamburg, Germany.
Jos. Hansen’s current delivery programme concentrates on areas which are particularly important for the development of economic and social infrastructure, such as water, agriculture, industry, research, education and health.
The company is inspired by the need for portable water in Africa and has thereby developed engineering expertise to work as main contractor to carry out water extraction/supply and sewage projects for industries and cities. In over 55 years, Jos. Hansen has built up a reputation in the area of water supply engineering including bore-hole drilling, construction of water treatment plants, pumping stations.
These are in addition to expertise in design, supply and installation of complete plants for water supply schemes; supply of pumps and associated switchgear and equipments for industry, agriculture and municipal water supply, as well as, installation, commissioning, maintenance services and training throughout Nigeria for our equipment.
As the company trades in the full range of pumps for private, commercial, industrial and municipal use, it also stocks a large number of pumps both surface (centrifugal, multistage, horizontal and vertical) and submersible pumps. The Pumps and Valves department is focused on the sales, installation, maintenance and repairs of fluid transport equipment for many applications.
To supply the best products, information, training and service, the Pumps and Valves department works together very closely with world renowned companies such as KSB, a well-known manufacturer of a wide range of pumps for all kind of applications.
For any equipment supplied by Jos. Hanson, it offers the Manufacturer’s Warranty in addition of efficient back-up and after sales service for all the equipment.
With over sixty years of operations in Nigeria, initially, the company enjoyed the monopoly of the water industry in the country until lately that we witnessed the influx of new entrants into the market with less experience but Jos. Hansen still stands out with the quality of equipment and personnel, as well as, the expatriate back-up from Germany in the area of special projects.
Over the years, the need to have quality water and service delivery has been vital in the plan of various government. In this regard, Jos. Hansen has partnered with various governments, agencies and nongovernmental organisations (NGOs), as well as, private concerns and multinational organizations to execute turn-key projects in Nigeria in order to deliver service to the populace.
